5.9.1 Purpose
Measurement is stage 2 of the invoice workflow. Its purpose is to verify the quantities claimed on the invoice against the quantities actually measured and accepted on site. The measured values produced here are what feed the Measured figures used in Cost tracking and on the project Overview.
Note: Earlier documentation states that measurement begins once an invoice has been finalised. In the current build the invoice is still a draft when it enters measurement, and finalisation is stage 4. Do not carry the earlier sequencing across.
5.9.2 Opening the measurement
Select Measurement from an invoice draft. The measurement screen opens with the workflow stepper at the top, the invoice details and measurement details on the left, and the position list on the right.

Header controls are Back to invoice, Save, and Supplier info, which advances to the next stage.
5.9.3 Measurement details
The left panel repeats the invoice details as read-only reference information: invoice number, invoice date, billing period, reference (the AZ number), invoice arrival date, and cash discount date. Beneath these, the measurement itself is identified.
5.9.4 The position list
The summary bar above the list shows the number of mismatches, the cumulative invoiced value, the cumulative measured value, and the difference between them. A banner states how many positions still require measurement detail before the invoice can advance; Show positions filters the list to those.
Figure 46 — A position awaiting measurement
Note: The measured quantity field carries the same New cumulative label as the invoice quantity field, and the row additionally shows the delta for this invoice separately from the cumulative figure. This is consistent with cumulative entry across both stages, but it must still be confirmed with the development team — see the critical item in Appendix A.
5.9.5 Recording measurement detail
A position can be expanded to record how the measured quantity was arrived at. Measurement detail is organised into groups, each containing one or more lines.

Note: The formula field is what makes this a genuine Aufmaß rather than a plain quantity entry: the arithmetic behind a measured quantity is retained and auditable rather than being calculated outside the system.
5.9.6 Completing the measurement
- Enter or adopt a measured quantity for every position that requires one.
- Add measurement groups and lines where the quantity needs to be substantiated.
- Add comments where the measured quantity differs from the invoiced quantity.
- Select Save.
- Select Supplier info to advance to the payment calculation.
Note: Where a measured quantity differs from the invoiced quantity, the position is flagged as a mismatch and the difference is shown in the summary bar. Mismatches do not block progress, but they carry through to the payment calculation as corrections — see section 5.10.5.
